Teams are based around experienced strategic planners, interior designers, architects, M&E engineers, technology specialists and construction professionals.

M Moser Associates believes that sustainability is a fully integral facet of design, a basic value rather than an afterthought. M Moser designed the Shanghai Office space keeping in mind a key concept: Rather than getting by with less, sustainability means getting more from space, material, energy and resources.

M Moser ensured environmental protection guidelines were strictly carried out in construction of the Shanghai office. M Moser considered the benefits of environment and occupant health and productivity by integrating the following design elements with sustainable construction management:
- Sufficient fresh air supply
- CO2 and fresh air sensors to monitor and control fresh air supply
- Low-VOC paints, adhesives, carpets, flooring, and furniture
- Rooms with hazardous gases or chemicals (e.g. printer room and storage room) are isolated
- Allowed natural daylight penetration and access to outside views

The M Moser Shanghai office features efficient use of energy through various strategies:
- Lighting fixtures arranged to allow efficient use
- Occupancy and daylight sensors
- No CFC-based refrigerants
- High efficiency HVAC equipment
- Demand-controlled ventilation through fresh air and CO2 sensors
- Use of HVAC zoning controls by integrating air conditioning system with occupancy sensors
- Use of IT and AV equipment with Energy Star certification that consume less energy
- Low flow water fixtures

- Materials have low life cycle cost and embodied energy, high recycled and renewable material content and are manufactured within close distance of project site to minimize energy use during transportation
- The consideration of the office’s future expansion or demolition at an early stage contributes to low life cycle cost of the project
- Bamboo flooring (renewable material) is used in the reception
- Workstations are manufactured within 800km of Shanghai

With a rich experience in LEED certification administration and determined strive for environmentally friendly work environments, M Moser leads their Shanghai office to obtaining a LEED Gold Certification. The office space features numerous energy-saving qualities. For instance, occupancy sensors cover over 75% of the office area – a method to reduce carbon emitted by electricity use.
