描述:

Vir.Mueller Architects designed a prototype for community toilets in Rajasthan, a rural area of India. Public sanitation services are vital in India, yet the country is severely lacking such facilities. With this in mind, the National Foundation of India asked the architects to create a prototype, with the hope that the model could be distributed around the area, helping all the families in the village of Delwara. This newly designed toilet has the function of collecting water for this place which lacks water here. The building materials are all form the local, such as bamboo and recycled iron cans,in this way this project successfully avoid discharging waste and polluting the environment. And also it is designed not only as a toilet, but also can be an open space for local residents to chat or meet people there. In a word, this is an environmental protect building design which also meet the users' needs well.Also,.some of the design strategies and insights we've mentioned before can be used universally for other cases.
